Bête Noire No. 1 is an expansion of my progressive series of wild hog (Sus scrofa) portraits and visualizations. In full side profile, wild sow displays the ferocity of her form, as it simultaneously dissolves into atmospheric murk. She gazes purposefully at you, the viewer, yet she faces another.

Frame Details:
Frames are hand built by the artist using solid poplar and finished with traditional paints and oils. All mounting is done using archival methods. Artwork is protected under UV-plexiglass.
