I am allowed to be afraid depicts a domestic dog (Canis lupus familiaris) barking, with some intensity, at an unknown site (sound, smell). The dog, perhaps a black mouth cur, is nestled in the dark folds of wild irises, blooming lazily but nearing their own departure.

Frame Details:
Frames are hand built by the artist using solid poplar and finished with traditional paints and oils. All mounting is done using archival methods. Artwork is protected under UV-plexiglass.
