Above Below features the form of the European hare (Lepus europaeus) traversing across a landscape and canonized with a thin, gold halo. The animal’s posture suggests self-possession, but the eye remembers that, despite its size and agility, the European hare is still a prey animal, desired by fox, eagle, and man alike.

Frame Details:
Frames are hand built by the artist using solid poplar and finished with traditional paints and oils. All mounting is done using archival methods. Artwork is protected under UV-plexiglass.
