Her bright, round face, bright as frost depicts a mountain lion (Puma concolor) watching with a restive, predatory gaze as an infantile wild piglet (Sus scrofa) walks by seemingly unaware. The title, a line from D. H. Lawrence’s poem “Mountain Lion,” meditates on the coexistence of man with this mysterious, beautiful beast of the forest and mountain.

Frame Details:
Frames are hand built by the artist using solid poplar and finished with traditional paints and oils. All mounting is done using archival methods. Artwork is protected under UV-plexiglass.
